Museum Sleepover Coordinator:
Wayne Kriemelmeyer
Very good news. We have
planned a second Shedd sleepover on April
9th. If you were not able to get into the first Shedd sleepover
on March 19th or did not sign up for the event, nows your
chance. We are guessing that we will have about 100-150 folks
participating in this sleepover, although we can have up to 300
spots at this point. The cost is $60 per person and it includes
parking. Please let Wayne know if you are interested and
approximately how many will likely go from your tribe because
he needs to get them a down payment to reserve our spots. Wayne will
be collecting money for the event at the December 1st
Longhouse. (We will NOT be able to
switch tribes from the March 19th date to this one.). You must
be registered in the program to attend this
event.

Trailblazers has been on hiatus since last Summer,
however we have decided to start up again
soon.
Trailblazers is
affiliated with the Logewhego Federation of the B.R. Ryall YMCA, and
is intended as a place where graduates or older members of the
Y-Princess and Y-Guides programs can continue to build a positive,
lifelong relationship between father and child. The target age for the program is 5th through 10th grade.
This is only intended as a guideline, and we encourage fathers to
participate in activities that they believe are age appropriate for
their child.
Trailblazers is a much smaller organization
than the Y-Princess or Y-Guides program. This allows us more flexibility on meetings and
events. Trailblazers is co-educational (fathers, sons, and
daughters), and organized as a single group. If you are already registered into
the Y-Princess or Y-Guides there will be no additional program
registration fee. Others will need to register into the
program. Trailblazers will be looked on as another "Tribe" within
the Logewhego group.
Here are a few of the events from previous seasons
:
Climbing Wall Sleepover Eagle Cave Sleep-in Murder Mystery Sleep-in at
Stronghold Rocket Building & Launch White Water Rafting Trip
Costs for these
events are approximately $50 ea.
Please see the
special email that was sent 1/27 for a link to a survey. This survey
will be used to measure interest in the
program.
