July 4th
Parade
As you all know, the 4th
of July is fast approaching, and as a means of showing our strength
and boosting our presence in the community, we are planning a FULL
NATION WALK in both the Wheaton and Glen Ellyn Parades.
Dads, Sons, and Daughters from ALL TRIBES are encouraged to march, and to proudly wear their vests. Members are even welcome to bring a Soapbox Derby Car to pull, roller skates to ride, or any appropriate representation of Guides and Princess activities.
Marching in the parade is a lot of fun for the kids, and a great way to show pride in your Tribe, Nation, and YMCA. This year is unique, as we are pushing for maximum participation as a way to recruit for our program. Please put participation in the parades down on your 4th of July calendar. The Wheaton Parade will step off at 10am; the Glen Ellyn Parade starts at Noon. We will be marching behind a Guides/Princess banner. See the details below on each parade. If additional info is available we will post it on the web.

Next Year
Chiefs
Each chief has been asked to complete the Next Year Transition Form and return it to their respective Nation Chief or Craig Thuneman at Fax # 630-539-7865, ASAP. This form helps us have the correct contact information for the tribe new chief as well as an idea on program membership for the coming year. If your tribe has not had this discussion please ask your current chief to complete this short task.
Note- When using the form please disregard dates and send to information. Only send to Joe Kozlowski, Armin Roeseler or Craig Thuneman
If chiefs do not want to fax the form they can send the information requested in an email.
We would like to have this completed by the first week of July please.

Our New Email
Program
As you can all see we have moved from a print version of our Drum Beats to this emailed format. We will be sending the Drum Beats monthly to our entire membership as a way to better inform everyone of the activities of the Logewhego Federation. There may be occasional Special Messages as the need arises. We have the capability of sending messages to Guide or Princess members separately as well as the Chiefs only or Leadership Only.
Other benefits of this method of communication are that you can forward the email to your spouse and use it as a recruiting tool by sending to a friend.
Please send your feedback to Craig Thuneman
cthuneman@comcast.net
As with any email program you can opt out at any time, just send an email with your request or reply to the message you have received.

Members Networking Program
Visit our Networking Page (link on the left), simply fill out the form and you will be added to the data sheet and provided the password by return email. Look for upcoming networking events currently being planned.
