Spring Campout - 2010

PLEASE READ/ACT:    Camp Shaw has requested a count on how many zip liners and horseback riders we anticipate having so they can staff appropriately.  Please do your best to garner preliminary numbers from your tribe specifically regarding (1) number of zippers and (2) number of riders and pass along to Tom Brcka  princesscherokee@logewhego.org  for princesses and Bill Schumacher guidescomanche@logewhego.org   for Guides .  Again, please do your best to act on this.  If we underestimate due to lack of response we’ll end up being understaffed, which means kids miss out on zipping and riding.

Guides - April 30 thru May 2 -Weekend

Tenting - $5 per person per night
Old Cabins - $100 per night for however many you want to fit
New Cabins (Taj Mahal) - $150 per night for however many you want to fit.
Dining Hall - $200 per night
Federation will cover cost of firewood, porters and patches
·         Porters available:  Fri. 5-7p, Sat. 10a-12n/2-5p, Sun. 8-11a.
·         Zip line:  $5/person per zip
·         Horseback riding:  $15/person for ½ hr., $25/person for 1 hr.
·         Graduating Guides:  Please submit name, Guides name, tribe name to Steve Schwanebeck (s_schwanebeck@hotmail.com) no later than 1 week prior to campout so certificates can be printed

Rustic Cabins:
Cabins house 10 each, totaling 220 beds. Plains area has 14 cabins to accommodate 140. Woodlands area has 8 cabins to accommodate 80. Both areas have toilet/shower facilities with hot water & Flush toilets.
Deluxe Cabins:
Two heated cabins each accommodating 10 people in bunk beds. Bathroom in each cabin. Year round availability.

Directions From Northwest 

I-55 south to 1st Wilmington exit. Turn left.
Go to Rt. 53 (3 miles). Turn right.
Go to light in Wilmington.
Turn left at light onto Hwy 102.
Go 10 miles to 4-H Camp Road (6000W).
Turn left onto 6000W. Entrance is on right.
