July 4th Parade  -  2010

The program’s overall participation had been declining dramatically over the past few years.  Fortunately this year we not only stopped the downward trend but experienced a slight uptick due in no small part to our increased focus on recruiting led by Wayne Kriemelmeyer.  We’re hoping to have a good showing at the parades to generate interest in our program.  Plus, it’s a lot of fun watching your kids hand out candy to their friends.
 
Please consider and encourage your tribe to march in either parade.

Wheaton Parade
·         Start:  12 noon
·              Sequence number 110
·         Staging area (overall):  intersection of Main & E. Cole St. Map
·              Wheaton Staging area for our group is Radio Shack (Map)
·              Look for the white Y van; Guides/Princess marching as part of Y
·         Concludes:  Front & Cross St. in downtown Wheaton
 
Glen Ellyn Parade
·         Start:  2p
·             Sequence number 19
·         Staging area ( overall) :  Crescent and Lake (Glenbard West football field) Map
·             Staging area for our group is Lot A (West of Ellyn Ave across from the track) Map
·             Look for a group of Indian Guides/Princesses; Guides/Princesses marching alone
·         Concludes:  Lake Ellyn Park (Linden and Lenox)
